The brand's visionary spirit is rooted in its near century-long history. The company’s founders, Svend Olufsen and Peter Bang, founded their enterprise in 1925 in the attic of the Olufsen family estate. Less than a year later, the young engineers introduced the Eliminator—the first mass-produced radio that could be plugged directly into a wall, eliminating the need for a battery. Shortly thereafter, they went on to develop the world's first push-button-controlled receiver, the Master-39CH, followed by Europe's first reel-to-reel tape recorder, the Beocord-84U.
Nearly a century later, Bang & Olufsen remains an industry stand-out. The sophistication, elegance, and enduring quality of its products has secured it legions of loyal customers.
